I have this interesting dilemma, being an unknown. How do I build an audience? It’s a big world out there. So how do I build a Giant enterprise?
It’s hugely important that I make a great first impression, but I don’t yet have an audience. This is a problem. But I have a solution: I’m going to put out all my bad ideas first! In fact I’m going to put out some of my worst stuff in this post!
Sound crazy? Well that’s because Giant operates on another level. Giant is different (note to the Franchise Tax Board and Internal Revenue Service, “Giant is different”).
You probably don’t believe me. OK. Strap yourself in and put your socks on, here we go,
These are from an upcoming strip called “Forest Hills”:
And these are from an upcoming strip called “State Fair”:
Yeah, those are awful.
Just awful.
In terms of what art tools I used, I think I had a “Bristle brush for loser artists and sucky drawing no. 2” ( I definitely don’t recommend getting that one ).
I should probably add some context by way of explaining what these strips are about but I’m not going to.
Anyways, I’m glad that’s over. But never fear, Giant Comix has definitely improved by leaps and bounds and there’ll be no need to showcase these awful first trys prominently. We’ll just tuck them away in the old archive section of our blog page here. No problemo.
But you’ll want to follow me on social media. I’m holding my best stuff in reserve. Bringing everything out is going to be a lot of fun. This is going to be an exciting year! Giant Comix is here! Don’t miss your chance to get one of my first issue comics when I release in 2018! Check me out at Giantcomix.com.
Remember kids, Giant Comix got superheroes like The Official Supreme Team
Let’s roll out…
